📍PDL WorldOur company is currently looking for a “Logistics specialist” to work under the following conditions:Work Location: Jabrayil districtType of Assignment: ContractContract Duration: PermanentWork Schedule: 5 days a week based on 8 hours per day.Start Date: ASAPSalary: 1000-1200 aznJob Responsibilities:Achieve on time delivery of packages, equipment and material items as well as project documentation, as a minimumStrive continually for improvement of all deliverablesEnsure all expediting activities fully comply with Code of Business ConductManage appropriate relationships with suppliers and key stakeholdersAssist with the development of expediting strategies and plans, as appropriateEnsure key document deliverables are submitted and approved within the required timescaleObtain supplier reports, analyze and challenge prior to distributionEnsure all stakeholders are aware of latest expediting information with respect to order deliverablesUpdate reporting systems and tools with latest order status and informationMaintain and produce contract specific expediting reportsProvide order specific information for input to order tracking systemExpedite purchase orders with suppliers, resolve any issues to ensure on time and complete delivery.Create shipments, bookings and transact movementsFollow up on customs documentation and transactionsCoordinate local transport with bookings and documentationLiaise with legal team and tax specialist on legal form of the suppliers and taxation specifics related to company purchases.Negotiate changes and other terms and conditions with suppliers to obtain the best return at the most cost effective prices possible, while retaining quality specificationsMonitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with all contractual terms and conditions. Take necessary steps to resolve any supplier performance issues.Prepare and submit regular PO status reports for outstanding orders or projects to provide visibility to operations about the status of ordersAttend operations and project meetings to provide expediting support.Proactively inform, customer or project team members in case of unexpected delays or issues with purchase orders, and provide the necessary support to resolve issues. Participate in external and internal audits.Job Requirements:Male candidates will be considered for this positionHigh school diplomaMinimum 3 years of experience as a Logistics specialist or in a similar role. (Energy sector is preferable)Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems.
