Junior Cybersecurity Engineer

Conditions: Location of posting: Baku, Azerbaijan Type of contract: employment Employment type: permanent Number of places: 2 (two) Work schedule: full time (Monday - Friday, flexible work schedule) Experience Level: junior level Salary and Benefits: salary is based on the candidate skills and capabilities, benefits include project-based bonuses, medical insurance, etc. Responsibilities Post-Sales Activities:Assist with the deployment, configuration, and support of cybersecurity solutions under the guidance of senior engineers, ensuring they meet client requirements and applicable standards. Pre-Sales Activities: Support the preparation of cybersecurity solution designs by gathering technical information, reviewing client requirements, and assisting with solution documentation. Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing: Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, documenting findings, and supporting the preparation of reports and remediation recommendations. ISO 27001 Compliance: Assist with maintaining and updating cybersecurity policies, procedures, and compliance records related to risk, incident, and vulnerability management.Support internal ISO 27001 audits by collecting evidence, checking documentation, and tracking identified corrective actions. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. At least 1 year of experience working on a similar position. Knowledge of fundamental principles of network security and cryptography, GDPR, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS standards. Knowledge of endpoint and application security methods. Understanding of vulnerability analysis, penetration testing and incident response. Commitment to staying updated with industry trends and emerging networking technologies. Languages:Fluency in Azerbaijani and good working proficiency in English. Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices including the following technologies and concepts: NGFW (Next-Generation Firewall) for content-based attack detection and application control. NAC (Network Access Control) for network and device access control based on identification and security posture. DNS Security for protection against various DNS-related attacks and threats. PAM (Privileged Access Management) for managing privileged access and controlling its usage. DLP (Data Loss Prevention) for monitoring and preventing leakage of confidential information. Endpoint Security for protecting network endpoints from various threats and attacks. Application Security for securing applications against vulnerabilities and attacks. Competencies Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining accurate documentation. Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and evolving technology environment. Willingness to obtain relevant certifications as recommended by the company. Ability to work effectively in a team, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to project success. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
