Functional QA Engineer

Responsibilities Design and execute functional tests for the Zervan web application and backend APIs. Validate business workflows involving time allocation, weekly submissions, approvals, rejections, resubmissions, and exception handling. Test role-based access control, data visibility restrictions, and organizational hierarchies. Verify business rules, configuration parameters, validation logic, and audit trails. Develop test cases, regression suites, and structured defect reports. Perform API testing, database verification, and integration testing. Validate multilingual interfaces in Azerbaijani, Russian, and English. Collaborate with business analysts and developers to clarify expected functionality. Support user acceptance testing and production release verification. Required Qualifications At least 2 years of experience in software quality assurance. Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and API testing. Experience with Postman or equivalent API testing tools. Practical SQL knowledge for database verification. Ability to develop test cases from business requirements and acceptance criteria. Experience with Jira or equivalent issue tracking systems. Understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, JSON, and common authentication mechanisms. Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking. Fluent Azerbaijani and Russian. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Playwright, Selenium, or similar test automation frameworks. Familiarity with Python or C# for automated testing. Experience testing enterprise workflows, authorization models, and approval systems. Knowledge of performance testing tools such as k6 or JMeter.
