Senior Financial Reporting and Control Specialist

Key Responsibilities Prepare annual, interim, and quarterly financial reporting packages in accordance with IFRS. Prepare quarterly estimated profit tax reports and annual profit tax returns. Develop monthly management reports, including variance analysis of profit and loss items, and provide relevant financial insights. Coordinate external audit activities relating to financial statements and profit tax returns. Participate in project meetings with the Operator and contribute to discussions on financial matters. Participate in partner audits and inventory counts conducted within the scope of the project. Respond to financial queries and provide accurate, detailed explanations and supporting information to relevant stakeholders. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data and reporting deliverables. Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, IFRS standards, applicable legislation, and regulatory requirements. Support continuous improvement of financial reporting and control processes. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in external auditing, preferably with a Big Four firm, and/or financial reporting. Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial accounting, and financial reporting principles. Demonstrated ability to prepare financial statements and disclosure notes independently or with minimal supervision. Professional qualification such as ACCA is preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and quality in financial reporting. Ability to quickly understand and apply new concepts, standards, and requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently, take initiative, meet deadlines, and contribute effectively within a collaborative team environment.
