Circuit Design Engineer / Control Board Design Engineer (Hardware Development, Microcontroller-Based)

Conditions: Location: Defence Industry Research and Innovation Center 25 Rahib Mammadov Street, Khatai District, Baku, Azerbaijan Working days: Monday to Friday Working hours: 09:00–18:00 (break: 13:00–14:00) We are looking for a circuit design engineer to develop a physical microcontroller-based control board: here the reception, processing and generation of digital and analog control commands are implemented at the level of the electrical circuit and printed circuit board, not software code. The specialist is responsible for circuit design, board layout and routing, component selection, and bringing the product to prototype and serial production. Responsibilities Developing electrical schematic diagrams of the microcontroller-based control board (digital and analog units); Designing circuits for generating and processing analog and digital control signals (input/output stages, level matching, filtering, circuit protection); PCB routing and layout in CAD (Altium Designer or equivalent), including multilayer boards; Selecting modern imported and domestic components (microcontrollers, ADC/DAC, power switches, connectors, passive components); Preparing manufacturing files (Gerber, bill of materials, assembly files) and releasing the board to production; Soldering and assembling prototypes, participating in breadboarding; Tuning, debugging and testing manufactured boards using an oscilloscope, signal generator and multimeter; Developing design documentation (schematic diagrams, specifications, assembly drawings) in accordance with ESKD; Designer's supervision and technical support of the board during serial production, analysis of complaints and circuit revisions. Requirements Higher technical education (radio engineering, electronics, instrument engineering or a related field); Experience developing electrical schematic diagrams of microcontroller-based analog and digital units; Experience in PCB design and routing in Altium Designer (or similar CAD — P-CAD, KiCad); Knowledge of modern components and ability to select component equivalents; Practical skills in soldering and mounting SMD components and assembling prototypes; Hands-on experience with test and measurement equipment (oscilloscope, signal generator, multimeter) for board tuning and diagnostics; Ability to read and prepare design documentation according to ESKD. Nice to have Basic understanding of microcontroller firmware (to collaborate with programmers, without needing to write code yourself); Experience bringing products into serial production and supporting production; Experience designing power or high-voltage units of the control board; English sufficient for reading technical documentation and datasheets.
