Legal Counsel

Əsas vəzifələr Review, draft, and revise contracts referred to the company, ensuring the company's position is properly reflected in contractual terms. Participate in contract negotiations with counterparties and coordinate internal alignment on contract amendments, extensions, and terminations. Provide legal advice on Production Sharing Agreement (PSA)-related matters. Prepare reasoned legal opinions on various legal matters referred to the Legal function, including oil and gas law. Provide legal support on labor law matters, including terminations and disciplinary proceedings, as well as regulatory and HR documentation such as orders, instructions, and protocols. Respond to queries from the State Labor Inspectorate and participate in meetings with the Inspectorate. Review internal orders, policies, standards, and regulations, and draft them where required, including powers of attorney. Represent the Representative Office before the State Migration Service on work and residence permits for expatriate staff, and coordinate work permit-related matters with relevant parties. Monitor changes in Azerbaijani legislation and prepare relevant summaries for the business. Prepare submissions to courts, law enforcement bodies, and other state authorities. Tələblər Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field Minimum 3 years of professional corporate legal experience, with a clear focus on employment law and contract law. Fluency in Azerbaijani, English, and Russian. Strong working knowledge of Azerbaijani civil, labor, commercial, and administrative legislation. Proven ability to independently draft, review, and negotiate contracts. Confident legal writing and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office and corporate systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good communication and teamwork abilities. High proficiency in written and spoken English.
