Senior legal counsel

Job responsibilities Advise management on legal, regulatory and compliance matters related to school operations; Manage licensing, permits, regulatory approvals and related communications with authorities; Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with applicable requirements; Provide legal support on admissions, tuition, student matters, school policies and privacy; Draft, review and negotiate commercial, employment and operational agreements; Handle employment, corporate and governance matters, including resolutions and powers of attorney; Identify legal risks, provide practical advice and manage disputes and sensitive legal matters; Supervise and support the Junior Lawyer and coordinate with external counsel and the EBC Legal Office when required. Requirements Law degree from a recognized university; 5+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house or in a reputable law firm; Strong experience in licensing, regulatory matters and compliance; Solid knowledge of corporate, commercial and employment law; Strong contract drafting, review and negotiation skills; Experience working with governmental and regulatory authorities; Excellent Azerbaijani and English; Russian is an advantage; Strong judgment, communication, organizational and leadership skills.
