Logistics Specialist

Role Overview: -Target LOGISTICS, is fast growing freight forwarding company in the International Logistics company, is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to optimize our daily logistics operations. This role is essential for ensuring efficient transportation, warehousing, and distribution of materials while maintaining cost-effectiveness and compliance with industry standards. Main responsibilities: -Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and materials. -Manage and optimize transportation routes, warehouse operations, and inventory control to enhance efficiency. -Coordinate with global agents, truckers, shipping lines, airlines and customs authorities to ensure smooth shipment processing. -Oversee import/export operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and local laws. -Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings. -Collaborate with customers’ procurement, sales, and project teams to align logistics plans with business needs. -Negotiate contracts with transportation providers and warehouse operators to secure favorable terms. -Address and resolve logistical challenges, including delays, damages, and supplier issues. -Ensure all logistics activities adhere to safety, quality, and environmental regulations. -Prepare and present reports on logistics operations, performance trends, and cost analysis to senior management. Requirements -Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding and logistics, supply chain, or transportation management; -Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures, import/export regulations, and international freight operations. -Fluent spoken and written English skills; -Experience with ERP systems and logistics management software is preferred; -Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); -Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills; -Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Working conditions: -Location: Baku city -Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 working days per week; -Working hours: 15:00 - 01:00 (“Office based”) What We Offer -Salary 1500-3000 Azn (KPI) -Opportunities for career growth and professional development. -A collaborative and dynamic work environment focused on innovation and efficiency.
